Jack R. Jones, 79, of Muncy, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Born October 16, 1944, in Kingston, Pa., he was a son of the late Harold E. and Rachel (Jones) Jones. He graduated from the former Forty Fort High School in 1962 and the Luzerne County Community College in 1964 with an associate degree as a draftsman designer. He and his spouse, Carole N. Jones, of Muncy shared a wonderful life of 58 years together, having been married on June 5, 1965. Jack was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was always on the move fixing things or riding his bike around the neighborhood. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He was previously employed as a draftsman designer for Sprout, Waldron, and Company for over 27 years, and was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Muncy having served many years as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and choir member. He also sang with the West Branch Chorale for several years.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Carole, is his son, Bruce (Alana) Jones , of Montoursville, and his daughter, Beth Anne (Bret) Berger, of Clemmons, N.C.; five grandchildren: Donnovan Berger, Brock Jones, Emma Berger, Heath “Dutch” Jones, and Chase Jones; and his brother, H. Daniel (Leilani) Jones, of Goldsboro, N.C.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church of Muncy, 5471 Clarkstown Rd. Muncy, PA 17756, with Rev. Dr. Charles E. Teffeteller, officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends may call at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday. McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, PA 17756 is honored to be serving the Jones family.
