Ruby M. Reese, 85, of Watsontown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.

Born May 4, 1938 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Alberta R. (Demott) Poust. On August 25, 1956 she married Lawrence “Pee Wee” Reese and together they celebrated 67 years of marriage.

Ruby was a 1956 graduate of North Mont High School, Turbotville. She was a member of Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, Watsontown since 1972. At the church she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Good News Club, also, she and Pee Wee hosted the Easter Egg Hunt for 37 years.

She was a former cheerleader coach at Warrior Run High School. Ruby loved being in parades with the Twirletts and Belles of freedom; also, she attended the Mummer’s Day Parade every year. She was a member of the No Hat Club, and was on the 1980’s tug-a-war team. Ruby enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, crocheting and flowers. She loved to dress up at Halloween as a witch and hand out candy.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons: Lawrence Reese Jr. and his companion Cheyenne, of Watsontown, and Gary Reese and his wife, Betty, of Muncy; two daughters: Mary Knopp and her husband Ronnie, of Muncy, and Sherry Eichenlaub, of Alaska; 9 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death besides her parents was a son Baby Reese, Son in law Cris Eichenlaub, Brothers Clark and George Poust.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 AM, Saturday, December 30, at Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, 5570 Musser Lane, Watsontown, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with her pastor, Rev. Michael Reece, officiating. Burial will follow in Turbotville Cemetery.
