Virginia S. Ward, “Jenny”

June 7, 2023 – Virginia S. Ward, “Jenny”, passed away peacefully in her home with her son William by her side.

Jenny Ward was a lighthouse in the local dog training community, helping countless people become better owners for over 40 years. Through selfless hours of training classes and phone consultation, she generously helped people understand and love their four-legged friends. She offered free training to anyone who adopted a dog.

Jenny was also a breeder of Pembroke Welsh Corgis, raising and showing multiple champions. She was a lifelong member of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club and was loved greatly by the community.

Beyond her help with animals, she was a champion as a mom to her family and friends, showing unconditional love to those that needed help and those that needed love.

She was also an excellent photographer, and for years captured even more hearts as she took pictures celebrating their wedding ceremonies.

She was kind to all. She lived a life of generosity, care, and love that will live on in those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Jenny’s death was preceded by her husband, William T. Ward. She is survived by her brother, James Stott, children William A. Ward, Jonathan “Mike” Ward, and granddaughter Allyson C. Ward.

A celebration of Jenny’s life will be held on a future date. People can show their love by contributing to East Coast Corgi Rescue in her name: http://www.eastcoastcorgirescue.org/ Click on the Donate button.
