Brian David Knorr, 52

Brian David Knorr, 52, of Montoursville and formally of Drums, laid to rest peacefully in a Tennessee Hospital due to complications from Covid-19 on January 17, 2022.

Brian was born on October 3, 1969, in Drums, the oldest child of Patricia (Wanco) and David Knorr.

In 1986, Brian received his Eagle Scout in Conyngham, Pa, and attended Phillmont Scout Reservation. He graduated from West Hazleton High School in 1987, went on to serve in the U.S. Army as an aviation mechanic and graduated from Penn College in 1996 as an Aviation Mechanic.

He had previously worked at Pep Boys, Fowlers, Schneider, where he became an over road driver, Allison Crane, and finally Smith Transport for the last eight years.

Brian spent most of his career driving over the road. He loved line dancing, square dancing with the Yellow Rockers, and lots of country music. He spent many weekends with his family camping at Lyle’s Landing, and going on beach vacations.

He is survived by his wife, the former Wendy Dunne with whom he would be celebrating 25 years of marriage this August; son, Cody Robert; daughter, Megan Marie both of Montoursville; sister, Staci Knorr; mother and father in-law, Robert J. and Diane Dunne; niece, Alyssa Knorr; nephews, Donald Bogart, Jr., of Williamsport, Greyson Michaels, of Williamsport, and Gabriel Newton, of Montoursville; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brian’s “last ride” will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 with Ryan Henninger. A Memorial Mass will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut Street, Montoursville. A visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. in the church and a light luncheon will follow at the conclusion of the service.

Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
