River Valley Transit Unveiled Special Olympics Pennsylvania Bus Wrap to Featured Lycoming County Athletes & Their Families

On Sunday, October 17, 2021, River Valley Transit unveiled its latest Special Olympics Pennsylvania focused bus wrap to the athletes that are featured in the design as well as to their friends and families. The unveiling took place at River Valley Transit’s Administrative Offices, located at 1500 West Third Street in Williamsport, PA.

The event served as a chance for the Special Olympics community to be the first to see the design before the bus began it rotation out onto the city streets. It included a small program and provided guests with the opportunity to take photos with the bus up close and personal.

A total of 10 extraordinary Lycoming County athletes grace both sides of the bus wrap and include:

– Kylie Andrews
– Kylie Beck
– Byron Diemer
– Bennett Hubler
– Stephen Huyck
– Nicholas Johnson
– Maria Marinucci
– India Price
– Brendan Rooker
– Jake Steinbacher

“We are honored to be among several other nonprofit organizations who are a part of River Valley Transit’s community bus wrap campaign,” said Marc Follmer, Special Olympics Pennsylvania – Lycoming County Manager. “The bus wrap does a wonderful job of highlighting the athletes that we serve; and, it is our hope that it will garner greater community awareness and involvement in our cause as it travels around town.”

“The employees at River Valley Transit decided they wanted to show support to those in our community. New buses have been designed to reflect how service members, cancer survivors, those with autism and athletes in Special Olympics have all touched the lives of those that work in and around the city of Williamsport”, said Adam Winder, River Valley Transit General Manager. “Letting people know they matter is important and we could showcase that on our buses.”
