Bonnie “Lynn” Snyder, 64

Bonnie “Lynn” Snyder, 64, of Muncy, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

She was born in Bloomsburg on June 7, 1957 to Civeta (nee Tedesco) Bitler Clayton, of Hughesville and Theodore (Josephine) Lynn of Attleboro Falls, MA. She lived most of her early life in Catawissa and attended Southern Columbia High School.

Along with her parents, Bonnie is also survived by her partner of 30 years, Rusty Robbins, of Unityville, and 5 siblings: Cindy “Lynn” Poust, of Norristown, Geri (Dave) Guzman, of Norfolk, VA, Sandy (John) Herr, of Hughesville, John (Darla) Bitler, of Hughesville, and Dawn (Russ) Powell, of Kremmling, CO; 16 nieces and nephews; 28 great nieces and nephews; and her children, her three beloved dogs, Boo, Petey, and Brindi. She was predeceased by her two step-fathers, Harold Bitler and Robert Clayton.

Bonnie worked various jobs throughout her lifetime, many of which included, retail, truck driving, bar tending, and factory work; but her greatest passion was her love of dogs. She started her own non-profit, Bellabon’s Pet Recovery, early in 2012. She considered pet recovery her greatest mission and her greatest accomplishment in life, and would work tirelessly around the clock (without pay) to find beloved animals and bring them home. She was the best friend that lost dogs ever had.

Bonnie fought a long, hard, determined battle with cancer and asks people to “hug their family members and pets, as well as enjoy each day, not taking one day for granted”.

A celebration of life for Bonnie will be held at a later date at Indian Park in Montoursville. We chose this place so her family, friends, and “Bellabon” pet followers can bring their dogs as well, which is what Bonnie wanted.

At the time of Bonnie’s passing, her Bellabon’s non-profit in now closed, please do not send donations. Instead, donations in Bonnie’s memory can be made to Rehome Animal Rescue Inc, 504 River Street, Buchanan, MI 49107, or via Paypal at GorgeousAdoptions@gmail.com.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughesville Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc, 5069 Route 220 Hwy, Hughesville. To share a memory or condolence with the family, please visit http://www.hughesvillefuneralhome.com
