Charles O. Harlan, 94, of Montoursville, died on July 6, 2021, at Muncy Valley Hospital.
He was born on October, 14, 1926, in Renovo, son of the late Fred S. and Alida (Baker) Harlan.
Charles was a veteran of WWII and served in the Philippine Liberation. He graduated from California University, California, Pa, and retired from the Williamsport High School in 1988, where he taught Industrial Arts and Aviation. He was a member of Dietrick Lamade Lodge #755 and Order of Eastern Star.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Stabler Harlan, who he owned and operated Aero Flight, Inc. a Cessna Aircraft dealership, Flight School and Charter Service; and his second wife, the former Audrey Attig Hess.
Surviving are step-son, Mark (Diane) Hess, of Cogan Station; two step-daughters, Gail (Eric) Engdahl, of Montoursville and Sylvia Hess, of Hamburg; nine step-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA with Pastor Eric Hartshaw officiating.
Burial will be in North Bend Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
A masonic service will start at 9:45 at the funeral home.
There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 10-11:00 a.m. on Monday.
