Herman H. Hess, Jr., 94, of Williamsport, passed away on June 8, 2021, at the Williamsport Home.
He was born on September 9, 1926, in Williamsport, the son of the late Herman H. and Bertha E. (West) Hess, Sr.
Herman retired from Comcast Cable Co. where he was an electronics tech. He was a member of the Civil Air patrol and Marrs. He enjoyed flying and traveling with motor home groups for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Russell Hess; brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, the former Nancy R. Vought; children, Gary L. (Connie) Hess, of Jersey Shore, David L. (Diane) Hess, of Montoursville, John A. Hess, of Williamsport, Patricia M. (Paul) Ault, of Williamsport; twin sisters, Donna (Dan) Winder and Darlene Norton, both of Muncy; sister, Ruth (Lee) Stoddard, of Rochester, NY; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, PA 17754 at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 with Rev. Larry L. LeLand officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
