Boys and girls, you’re about to behold a sight so fuzzy, so adorable, so utterly cute, that I urge you who are easily tickled or prone to the giggles to look the other way…but if you are still here, step right up, everyone has a chance to win a prize!

We needed to mix things up as we head into spring and the Easter season, so we are taking our annual Halloween contest and giving it an Easter twist! I’m sure you know how this works, but just in case you forgot, let me refresh your memory.

Sprinkled throughout this issue, you will find a variety of Easter Friends. Find all the bunnies and eggs you can! The rules of the game are simple. Count up all the little friends you find in March 17th and March 24th editions of the paper. Then take the total of the two weeks together and send them to me. Easy as pie…

I will then take everyone who answered correctly and pick ten random winners. Winners will receive an Easter basket full of goodies big enough to make the Easter Bunny himself jealous!

The easiest way to enter the contest is to email the answer to contest@webbweekly.com, or you can drop a postcard in the snail mail at Webb Weekly, 280 Kane St., Suite 2, South Williamsport, PA 17702. Or, if you are so inclined, you can drop your entry off at our office; we are open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Entries must be submitted by March 26th around noon or so and only one entry per person. Winners will be listed in the March 31st edition. But I’ll call or email the winners before that.

Remember, the contest is only open to kiddos 12 and under.

Each year we rotate through the local animal shelters and donate $1 for each entry received. This time around is Beckoning Cat Project’s turn, so let’s help the sweet fur babies! Be sure to get your entries in and help support a great cause. Plus, ya know — candy. So. Much. Candy.

So, look carefully and count them up! I get a little sneaky when I place them, so make sure you check every page closely! And don’t forget, there is a bonus section in this week’s paper, so ya know — look there too!

Before I scram, little lamb, an Easter Egg Hunt can only mean that spring is almost here! Don’t forget to Spring Forward this weekend too! Longer days are finally here! Also, now is the time to check those smoke detectors/batteries and replace any detectors that are over 10 years old! But mostly just appreciate the longer days and extra sunshine!
