Lynn A. Crist, 70

Lynn A. Crist, 70, a resident of Montgomery, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in the Evanfelical Community Hospital at Lewisburg. Born Saturday, January 21, 1950 at Danville, Montour Co, PA, he was a son of Glenwood and V. Beryl (Dewalt) Crist. Lynn was the widower of Julia D. (Smith) Crist who preceded him in death on March 4, 2014.

He was a 1968 graduate of Montgomery High School and earned a degree in business administration from the former Williamsport Area Community College. Lynn retired from A.C.F. Industries at Milton as a quality control manager and had previously been employed by Young Industries at Muncy. He honorably served his country with the US Navy during the Viet Nam era as a radioman.

He was a member of Montgomery Borough Council for 12 years and served as president for ten years. He was also a member of the West Branch Regional Authority; the Montgomery Emergency Management Agency where he served as a water rescue specialist; the Bower-Decker American Legion Post 251 where he served as chief financial officer, president of the home association, chaplain and member of the color guard; Muncy Lodge #299 F. & A.M.; the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Williamsport and the 40 et 8. Lynn enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding.

He is survived by three children, Brian M. and wife Sherilyn Crist of Short Gap, WV; Kevin J. and wife Elizabeth Crist of Lititz and Erin L. and husband Michael Johnson of Kernersville, NC. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Andrew “AJ” Crist, Kaitlyn Crist, Ian Crist, Eli Crist, Sarah Crist, Kayla Johnson and Emma Johnson. In addition to his wife, Lynn was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Laubach.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Military honors will be accorded by the joint veterans organization on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bower-Decker American Legion Post 251, 185 Broad Street, Montgomery, PA 17752.
