A meeting of the representatives of the six clubs that will make up the new New York-Pennsylvania State League will meet in Binghamton this Wednesday or Thursday. Thomas M. Gray and N. B. Bubb will represent Williamsport fans who are backing the proposition of local team in the new league. 

Final plans for the organization of club in this city are pending until the meeting in Binghamton. The gathering of the league representatives for the purpose of discussing league business such as the adoption of a schedule and making arrangements for the clubs to begin league play on May 9. 

Shortly after the Binghamton meeting the men interested in entering a Williamsport team in the new league will be held. It is planned to elect officers at this gathering and to attend to other important matters such as closing negotiations for a playing field and securing players for the club. 

The executive committee appointed by the fans is negotiating with the Williamsport High School Athletic Association with regard to the securing of the high school athletic grounds as a playing field. It is probably necessary to make alterations and repairs to the field if it is secured. 

One of the most important things that will confront local baseball enthusiasts following the Binghamton meeting will be the raising of a $5,000 contingency fund. It is said that half the sum has already been pledged by certain men who were interested in the old Tri State League of past years. The method of raising the remainder of the money has not been decided yet. 

The initial meeting of the Williamsport Baseball Club to discuss its entrance into the new league which is proposed to have Class B standing and is to be recognized by the Majors, was held at the Lycoming Hotel early las week.
