Donna L. Hall, 87, of Montoursville, PA passed away peacefully on June 17, 2020.
She was born August 23, 1932 in Collomsville, PA to Fred and Lura Kissell. She is survived by five daughters, Sharon (Craig) Armbruster, Sandy Dunham, Bobbie (Scott) Sims, Kimberly Ellison, and Pattie (Bryan) Sweigart, five granddaughters, Jessica (Arlo) Reese, Heidi Turi, Adriane (David) Klinge, Lindsay (Branden) Williams and Lauren Ellison and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hall, whom she was married to for 61 years, and her siblings, which included four brothers and two sisters.
Donna graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1950. During her years there, she was part of the cheerleading squad. We’re all thankful in her decision to join the softball team as well, where she found her future husband yelling from the outfield, “Kiss me, Kissell!”.
She was employed by Williamsport Candy Co. for 30 plus years as their head bookkeeper. She enjoyed her monthly card clubs and time spent with her lifelong friends.
To all that had the pleasure of knowing Donna surely heard about her five daughters and five granddaughters. She spent many hours at the ball fields, swimming pools and horse shows supporting her girls. She was their biggest cheerleader! Donna was the kindest, most selfless, generous woman with a heart of gold. She welcomed everyone with an infectious smile and a warm meal….and it was always just deeelicious! She was the ultimate example of what it is to be a mother, grandmother and wife. She embraced our family with love, grace and strength and we were blessed to have her as our own. She was our everything!
A public viewing is scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2020 at Spitler Funeral Home from 10:00 am – 11:00am, followed by a graveside service at Edgewood Cemetery located off of Sandhill Rd. in Montoursville.
