William P. “Bill” Kiessling, Sr. 80

William P. “Bill” Kiessling, Sr. 80, of Williamsport, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at his home. Surviving is his loving wife of 57 years, Dinah M. (Hargrave) Kiessling whom he married on June 23, 1962.

Born May 23, 1939 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late John and Rhoda (Neidig) Kiessling.

Bill was a 1957 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps as a military police officer. He later retired from Stroehmann’s after 27 years of service. Bill was a member of St. Boniface Church and the America Legion Post #617 South Williamsport. He enjoyed doing yardwork and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on and was a Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children; Marci S. Davis (Steve) of McElhattan, Patti J. Kiessling of South Williamsport, Dana M. Moser (Gregg) of Watsontown, and William P. Kiessling, II (Christina) of Muncy; three grandchildren, Tricia A. VanCampen (Josh) of Montoursville, Corey J. Finn (Brittany) of Richmond, VA, and Garrett S. Moser of Watsontown; two brothers, Fred and Robert Kiessling, several nieces and nephews and many dogs and grand-dogs.

In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial and burial in St. Boniface Cemetery to honor the life of Bill will be announced at a later date due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
