Shirley A. Wright, 91, of Huntersville, passed away on April 7, 2020, at Manor Care South.
Born March 3, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Marian (Burkhart) Nunn and stepmother Thelma Nunn.
Shirley worked hard at many jobs and at home and then retired from Hon Industries. She was a member of the Montoursville Garden Club. She grew up in Huntersville United Methodist Church, was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, and attended New Life Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Shirley enjoyed gardening, collecting glassware, woodworking, attending Wood Collecting meetings with her late husband, Penn State Football and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan D Lovell, of Montoursville, Barbara J. (Walt), of Mars; three sisters, Mary Ellen Nunn of Muncy, Jane McCowan, of Picture Rocks, Loretta (Ira), of Hughesville; grandchildren, Stephanie Buck, Lesli (fiancé, Bud) Davy, Jennifer (fiancé, Jimmy) Lovell, Tyler Coppersmith; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Dylan and Logan.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Minier, Dorothy Day; first husband, David Hutchison; husband, William Q. Wright; and son-in-law, Al Lovell.
A private graveside service will be held at Montoursville Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at her church at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
