Jacqueline C. “Jackie” Fleisher, 83

Jacqueline C. “Jackie” Fleisher, 83, of Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2020 at the Williamsport Home.

Jackie was born in Williamsport on July 24, 1936, the youngest of eleven children of John J. and Katherine (Zielewicz) Szybist.

She was a member of the former Ascension Church, now St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Jackie had been employed in the meat dept. of Acme Grocery Store and then at the American Rescue Workers.

She was an avid golfer, enjoyed working in her flower beds and playing bridge with friends, but she especially loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren.

She and her husband, James R. “Bob” Fleisher enjoyed 46 years of marriage, until he died on Feb 22, 2017.

Surviving are five children and their families; Stephanie (Patrick) Jackson of Cogan Station, Cindy (Richard) Dorr of Glenmore, John H. (Susan) Hilsher of Williamsport, Douglas (Lisa) Fleisher of Vero Beach, Fla., Tammy (Billy) Wadsworth of Buford, GA; thirteen grandchildren, Nathan, Jason, Christopher, Brian, Carolyn, Steve, Kristin, Andre’e, Samantha, Billy, Brittney, Logan and Lindsey and 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, 10 siblings; Edward, John and Frank Szybist, Christine Smith, Lenora Lukowsky, Wilhelmina Waldman, Evelyn Hoover, Thelma Bradley, H. Jeanne Caringi and Virginia Szybist.

The family will receive family and friends in the church’s portico from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday March 13, 2020.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. 4th St., Williamsport on Friday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. Brian Van Fossen officiating, followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery.
