William H. “Bill” Hannan, 83, of Eldred Township, died unexpectantly February 2, 2020, at UPMC Susquehanna.
He was born February 13, 1936, in South Williamsport, a son of the late Alfred and Mildred (Askey) Hannan.
Bill owned and operated Hannan’s Sporting Goods in Warrenville. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsmen. Bill, was an U.S. Army veteran, was a machinist by trade and formerly worked at GTE Sylvania (Montoursville), Litton Industries and J&S Precision Shop.
Surviving him are his wife, of 59 years, the former Judi E. Welshans; a daughter, Kelly H. (COL Roger) Giraud; a son, Dr. Michael W. (Alyson) Hannan, of Woodbine, Maryland; two brothers, Richard (Carol) Hannan, of Jersey Shore and Kenneth (Linda) Hannan, of Williamsport; two sisters, Marian Hannan, of Williamsport and Barbara (Eugene) Coghlan, of Osprey, Florida; and four grandchildren, Madeleine, William, Matthew, and Katelyn
A memorial graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 10, at Montoursville Cemetery, with Rev. Dave Parker officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
