Stephen “Steve” D. Betts, 66, of Upper Fairfield Township, died October 27, 2019, at UPMC Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 12, 1953, in Williamsport, a son of the late Clarence and Leona (West) Betts.
Steve retired from Unique Industries and also worked security with the Montoursville School District, which he loved. He enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers, fishing, and his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Carol L. Saltsman; a daughter, Stephanie M. (Matt) Edner, of Catonsville, Maryland; a son, Steven T. (Shannon) Betts, of Montoursville; three brothers, Clarence Jr. (Jane) Betts, of Williamsport, Ronald (Lois) Betts, of South Williamsport, and Richard (Jackie) Betts, of Singer, Louisiana; and four grandchildren, Alexandria, Gabrielle, Kara , and Kilee.
A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 31, at Green Lawn Memorial Park, with Pastor Jane L. O’Borski officiating.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville.
