Delores J. Shannon, 81, of Cogan Station, died Friday October 18, 2019 at UPMC Williamsport. Surviving is her loving husband, Charles H. Shannon, Jr., they were married June 16, 1972 and have spent 47 years of wonderful marriage together.
Born February 20, 1938 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Emily (Greenway) Chilson.
Delores was a graduate of South Williamsport High School, she had worked at Sylvania (where she met her husband Charles) and retired from General Cable. Together with her husband, she loved to fish and hunt. She and her husband spent many days fishing in the United States and Lake Ontario. She and her husband loved travelling throughout the United States. Delores was an avid collector of lighthouses. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother, who loved her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Dennis Davenport of Williamsport and Richard Davenport of Camp Hill, three step-children, Victor Shannon of California, Cindy DeWitt and Charlotte Downey both of Indiana, numerous grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Denise Davenport and a brother James Chilson.
Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Thursday October 24 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at Montoursville Cemetery.
