Robert L. “Bob” Kropp, 77, of South Williamsport, died peacefully Sunday, September 22, 2019, at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan L. (King) Kropp.
Born April 27, 1942, in Williamsport, Bob was a son of the late Richard L. and Ruth E. (Lusk) Kropp.
Bob graduated from South Williamsport High School, and then proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Bob retired from Penn College. He was an avid Penn State football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and anything that involved tinkering with his hands. He was always available to help a neighbor fix something. Bob loved his three dogs Ginger, Jessie, and Sofie. He was a member of the 10 Point Hunting Club, Buttonwood, and the VFW Leroy O. Buck Post 7863.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are; two daughters, Sheri A. Webb (Kenneth L. Webb, III) of Duboistown, and Shelbi A. Ciarrocchi (Fiancé Matthew R. Smith) of Quakertown; a grandson Matthew R. Ciarrocchi; and a step-grandson Korey C. Webb.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Kropp.
A memorial service to honor the life of Bob will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 26, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Sanders Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd, Williamsport, PA 17701.
