The YWCA Northcentral PA is accepting nominations for the 11th annual Women of Excellence tribute.

Over the past decade, women from across Lycoming County have been honored for their dedication to our community through their acts of service. This celebration is a time to recognize the female leaders who give so much of themselves each day.

This year’s event begins at 6 p.m. Nov. 7 at DiSalvo’s Restaurant & Lounge, 341 E. Fourth St. Tickets will be available in the fall.

Every honoree will be considered for our top honor, Wise Woman of the Year. Former recipients of the award will vote who in the class best exemplifies a lifetime of devotion to the betterment of the community.

The eligibility criteria is:

· Nominees must have worked and/or volunteered in Lycoming County for two years or more.
· Nominees must demonstrate the principals of integrity, strength of character and leadership.
· Nominees must have a history of active participation in the community as a volunteer, role model or board or committee member.
· Nominees must understand and support the mission of the YWCA: eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
