Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club To Hold 4th of July Weekend Fundraiser

A top raffle prize worth $10,000, and smaller amounts such as $1,000, $500 and $100, great entertainment, food and various drawings highlight the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club’s 4th of July Party fundraiser, held July 5, 6 and 7 at the club’s clubhouse at 84 Harley Drive, located near Woolrich. Free camping is also a part of the event.

According to Keith “Shooter” Harman, president of the SVBTMC, this event is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year. The money raised from it helps support the club’s various charitable activities throughout the year. These include a yearly “Bunny Run” at Easter time in which members of the club round up stuffed animals to be given out to children in area hospitals.

“Charitable activities are an important part of our club’s mission,” Harman told Webb Weekly. “Over the years it seems as though bikers have gotten a bad reputation and we hope through our activities we can help reverse that image.”

According to its mission statement the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club is a non-profit founded in 1982. They provide support and fundraisers for those in need. The groups they have helped include the American Cancer Relay For Life, Camp Victory, Clinton County Senior Citizens Fair, the Salvation Army, just to name a few. Members of the club have also participated in the annual 9-11 Motorcycle Run.
