Florence Irene Barth, 92, of Lock Haven passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Susque View Home.

Born April 12, 1926 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Blanche Shoemaker Barth.

Florence was a 1944 graduate of Lock Haven High School and also earned her nursing degree.

She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse serving in various hospitals including Jersey Shore Hospital.

Florence was a member of the Swissdale United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She loved reading and fishing as well as doing latchwork.

Surviving is her son, Willard Barth; her granddaughter, Sierra (Logan) Budman; her sister, Alice (Badger) Adams; her sister-in-law, Rose A. Barth; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings and their spouses: Willard (Edna) Barth, Harold (Sylvia) Barth, Jack (Barb) Barth, Lee Barth, Richard Womeldorf and Louise (Merle) Bauman.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 4 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 P.M. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Swissdale United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
