Tyrella P. Thomas, 77, a resident of Muncy, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Born Sunday, September 14, 1941 at Titusville, Crawford Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Tyrella (Francis) Pringle. She was the widow of Roland E. Thomas, Sr. who preceded her in death on November 25, 2017. His death broke a marital union of over 58 years.

She was a 1959 graduate of Titusville High School. Tyrella was employed by the former Hess’s, Kaufmann’s, Sears, Macy’s, Lowe’s and the Brodart Book Store. She was also an Avon Representative.

Tyrella ws an active member of the Muncy Presbyterian Church. She was a prolific reader and enjoyed genealogy, traveling extensively to trace her family’s roots. She was a member of Watsontown Chapter 282, Order of the Eastern Star, the Amaranths at Jersey Shore and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Earlier in life she had been an HLA representative for Pop Warner Football.

She is survived by two sons, Roland E. and wife Georgea Thomas, Jr. of Trout Run, PA; Loren T. Thomas of Muncy, PA; two grandchildren, Logan Thomas and Olivia Ann Thomas; one sister, Sandra P. Rosenbaum of Titusville, PA and her adopted daughter, Laura Taylor. In addition to her husband, Tyrella was preceded in death by her daughter, Tyrella Ann Thomas on February 21, 2004 and one brother, Nelson Troy Pringle.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. from the Muncy Presbyterian Church, 10 East Penn Street, Muncy, PA with Rev. Robert L. Dunkleberger, her pastor, officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Titusville Cemetery. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Muncy Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 276, Muncy, PA 17756.
