Halloween Carnival to be Presented By City of Williamsport At Liberty Arena This Saturday

The Liberty Arena in downtown Williamsport will be alive (or dead) with ghouls, spooks and goblins of all ages as the City of Williamsport’s Recreation Department will be hosting a FREE Halloween Carnival for children 12 and under on Saturday, October 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Liberty Arena located at 315 Hepburn Street. The whole family is invited to dress in costume and participate in the carnival games and activities.

There will be pumpkin decorating and treat bags for children 12 and under in costume. The event will also feature over a dozen carnival games and activities. In addition, FlyWorld will be hosting a Halloween party from 6-9 p.m. You can get $4 off a one-hour jump pass if you come in costume. They will also be offering prizes for best costume and free candy.

“We are looking forward to trying something new this year,” said recreation director, Jess Novinger. “We also couldn’t put on this event without our event sponsors. Thank you to our premier sponsors — VFW Post #7863, Liberty Arena, and River Valley Health and Dental Center. Also thank you to McCormick Law Firm, Pepsi, Helminiak’s and the Williamsport Parking Authority for their generous donations that help make this event a success for the children of Williamsport.”

Mayor Gabriel Campana would like to thank the Recreation Department for its creative initiative. According to Mayor Campana, “This event will be another fun event for the children in our city and I encourage all to attend. There will be spooky fun for everyone.”
