Albert Lee “Jack” Mills, Sr., 79, of Lock Haven passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Haven Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing, Lock Haven.
Born October 24, 1938 in Mount Carmel, Illinois, he was the son of the late Paul Woodrow and Marguerita Marion Cox Mills.
After graduating from high school in Illinois, he served in the United States Navy as a photographer.
On November 14, 1959 Jack married the former Myrna Loraine Newberry who preceded him in death on April 5, 2018.
He was employed by Bloomsburg Silk Mill until their closure, Piper Aircraft until their closure and finally Champion Parts until their closure- at which point he retired.
Jack attended the Salvation Army Church, Lock Haven.
In the early ‘70s, while his son was playing, he coached Little League Baseball.
Jack was a die-hard Penn State fan. He loved going to camp at Little Place in Haneyville as well as fishing. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and more recently watching the deer. Most important to him was the time he spent with his family.
Surviving are three children: Albert L. “Jr.” Mills, Jr. of Lock Haven, Tammy L. (Jeff) Neff of Castanea and Paula M. Curtis of Lock Haven; six grandchildren: Tara (Dave) Peters, Nichole (John) Risbon, Shawn (Christina) Mills, Brandi Jo Mills, Jonathan F. Curtis and Jared L. (Christina) Curtis; and eight great grandchildren: Demareon, Daevon, Skye, Jaden, Jaimelyn, Autumn, Carley and Jullien.
Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Becky Jean Mills, and a great grandchild, Rhage Mills.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
Memorial contributions in Jack’s name may be made to either the Salvation Army or Clinton County Veterans Administration though the funeral home.
