Frances E. Weaver, 83

Frances E. Weaver, 83, of Three Forks Ln., Lock Haven passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born on August 16, 1934 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Jessie Brown Blood.

In 1954 she married Donald W. Weaver with whom she celebrated over 60 years of marriage.

Frances was employed at Woolrich Woolen Mills, Bobbie Brooks and then JR’s Foodette. In 1976 she began working in the cafeteria at Head Start, retiring in 2015.

In her early years she enjoyed camping.

Frances loved to play BINGO, try her luck at Scratch-Off tickets and travel to Casinos as well as go on bus trips with her daughter, Edna.

She liked fishing and also going to family dinners.

Frances enjoyed attending the Steam Engine Show at Penn’s Cave and the Clinton County Fair.

Frances cherished the time she spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Donald Weaver of Lock Haven, she is survived by five children: Donald Weaver of Lock Haven, Sandy Weaver of Mill Hall, Edna (Harold) Whitmyre of Jersey Shore, Robert “Boom” (Holly) Weaver of Lock Haven and Thomas Weaver of Lock Haven; a brother, Marlin Blood of Phoenix, Arizona; 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; and many great, great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three children: Charles, Dennis and Cynthia Weaver and three siblings: Josephine Weaver, Edna Richardson and Joseph Blood.

Her family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Geisinger Medical Center who kindly assisted with Frances’ medical care.

A funeral service for Frances will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 12 Noon at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Burial at Rest Haven Memorial Park will follow.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions in Frances’ name may be made to the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc. to assist with funeral expenses.
