Dorothy E. Slout, 89, of Susquehanna Twp., passed away Saturday May 12, 2018 at the Gatehouse in Divine Providence Hospital. She was born September 24, 1928 in Williamsport a daughter of Cloyd and Bessie Blair Doebler.
Dorothy retired for Sharwell Manufacturing and was a member of the Nisbet United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Williams D. Slout, grandson, Blake Slout, five brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by son, Donald L. (Carol) Slout of Williamsport; daughters, Gail L. Bagerman of Montoursville, Debra J. (Terry) Decker, Kimberly A. (Keith) Sampsell and Tanya L. Johnson, all of Nisbet; brother, Dale Doebler of Montgomery; sisters, Mary Lundy and Pauline (Ralph) Seitzer, both of Williamsport; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A private family funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St. Montoursville with the Rev. Bruce Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions be made to the Nisbet United Methodist Church, 155 West Village Dr., South Williamsport, PA 17702.
