William R. Deisenroth Jr., 71, of Bastress Twp., passed away at home peacefully on Friday May 4, 2018 while surrounded by family.
He was born in Hazelton on Nov. 19, 1946, the son of William R. Sr. and Anna R. (Hagelgans) Deisenroth.
Bill was a 1964 graduate of Weatherly High School. Immediately following graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served honorably from 1964 through 1968.
He was a co-owner of Bill’s Electronics. He enjoyed oil painting. He enjoyed painting landscapes, wildlife and still life. He also enjoyed woodworking.
He and his wife, the former Maria Rezac were together for over 50 years, she passed away on Oct. 24, 2017.
Surviving are two sons and their families, Robert H. (Karen) Deisenroth and William D. (Suzanne) Deisenroth; five grandchildren, Maryanne M. Deisenroth, Brian R. Deisenroth, Adam Deisenroth, Kevin Deisenroth and Michele Deisenroth; a sister, Nancy Alzugaray; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Holly M. Deisenroth; sister LaMay Jones and brother George Deisenroth.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport.
Funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
