Joshua Patrick Butters, 39, of South Williamsport passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Regional Medical Center. He was born April 17, 1979 in Williamsport a son of Timothy and Michelle Shumbat Butters.
Josh was the owner, operator of Uncommon Steel and Hulk Construction. He was a graduate of Montoursville High School and served in the Navy. His daughters were the highlight of his life; he loved spending time with them, especially teaching them to cook.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Joseph A. Shumbat.
Josh is survived by his father and step mother, Sandra; his mother and step father, Mike Rupert; fiancée, Sage Spitzfaden; maternal grandmother, Isabel Shumbat of Williamsport; paternal grandparents, Paul and Frances Butters; his daughters, Gwenythfar and Athena Butters, at home; brothers, Joseph and Broc Rupert of Montoursville; sisters, Maranda Ali of Williamsport, Marilyn Hall of WA, and step brothers, Corey Perchinski and Caleb Butters, both of Williamsport.
A Life Celebration will be held from 4 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Herman and Luther’s, 787 State Rt. 87, Montoursville.
