Robert LeRoy Schlee, 79, of New York City died Monday, April 30, 2018 at NYU Langone Medical Center.
Born June 13, 1938 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Harry Elsworth and Edith Mae Bloom Schlee.
Robert studied theater Lycoming College and at Michigan State.
Robert had 50-year career as an actor in New York City. He was a long-time member of The Actor’s Studio, and sang with the Barry Harris Jazz Ensemble. Robert enjoyed singing, Tai Chi, playing guitar with his grandson Luca, and spending time with new grandson James.
Robert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Odette Panaccione Schlee; three children, Matthew (Tina Prosa) Schlee, Zachary (Julia Lisanti) Schlee and Desiree Schlee all of New York; two grandchildren, Luca and James Schlee; and three siblings, Marcella (Albert) Kelley, Jean Lockhart, and Daniel (Diane) Schlee.
He was preceded in death by a brother Harry Schlee.
A funeral service to honor the life of Robert will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service.
Interment will be in Montoursville Cemetery.
