Frederick L. Michael, Sr. 88, of Williamsport, died peacefully Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at ManorCare North.
Born October 17, 1929 in Williamsport, he was son of the late Willard Michael and Fanny (Harman) McGraw.
Fred was a graduate of South Williamsport Area High School and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He retired after 35 years of employment from Schnadig International Furniture. Fred enjoyed family picnics and after retirement he continued providing for his family working part time jobs. He loved watching sports, especially the Philadelphia teams.
Surviving is his wife, Lorraine A. (Keller) Michael, whom he married Feb 19, 1953; 6 children; Frederick L. Michael, Jr., Rickey A. Michael, Steven L. Michael, Julie L. Michael, Jamie J. Michael, and Lisa M. Michael all of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Austin W. Bloom of Charlotte, NC and Natashia L. Michael of Williamsport; two sisters Grace Winter of Williamsport and Sally Packard of Jersey Shore.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a son David W. Michael; a sister Lois Pandolfi and four brothers, Monroe, Melvin, Raymond, and Meredith Michael.
Services will be held privately.
