Shawn Michael Meredith, 32, of McElhattan, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018.

Shawn was born in Camp Lejeune, NC on December 16, 1985, the son of Steven and Jody Shadle Meredith, whom survive in Lock Haven.

He was a 2004 graduate of Central Mountain High School.

For over the past 12 years, Shawn served in the United States Army National Guard and was deployed on two separate tours to the Middle East.

In October of 2017, Shawn married the former Dawn M. Rovenolt, whom survives.

Shawn was an avid Penn State Football fan. He also enjoyed socializing with his wife and friends, especially over a cold beer. In recent time, Shawn and Dawn had also picked-up the hobby of hunting and fishing together.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a son, Aiden M. Meredith of Plains; a sister, Felicia N. (Raiffe) Hooven of Mill Hall; a brother, Ryan (Trish) Meredith of Lock Haven; and Dawn’s parents, Terry and Marlene Swartzlander of Milton.

A Veteran’s Honor Guard Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 1 P.M. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the SSG Daniel K. Stein Mission Inc.
