Robert Hook, 92, of Montoursville, died Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Edenbrook North.

Born August 7, 1933, in Mount Carmel, he was a son of the late Edward and Cecelia (Strike) Hook. Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he exemplified commitment and pride in his country. He met his wife, Cecilia, on a blind date and they were married on October 4, 1958, celebrating nearly 68 years of marriage.

After his military service, Robert went on to work for Lowery Electric as a sales manager and then moved on to Panasonic as a regional manager for the Philadelphia and New York area. After his retirement, Robert assisted with numerous startup businesses in the area.

Robert was a quiet and laid-back man who spent most of his time volunteering in his community. He had a passion for volunteering for Little League for many years and was the chairperson for the Little League 50th dinner and entertainment. Robert was also awarded The Ethel Weinhart award for Outstanding Volunteer Service from the Lycoming County Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Montoursville and was previously a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (Annunciation) in Williamsport.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Hook, of Montoursville; sons, John (Jackie) Hook of State College, Thomas (Sherrie) Hook of Montoursville, and Michael (Diane Ogden) Hook of South Williamsport; grandchildren: Jessica Hook, James Hook, Ashley Hook, Adam Hook, and Nicole Martin; Three great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Hook; sister, Mary Ann Pier and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl M. Hook; brother, Jack Hook; and sisters, Ramona Hook and Jeanette Butaitis.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
