Paul E. Hartsock, 79, of Montoursville, died peacefully at home on June 11, 2021.
He was born on July 18, 1941, in Williamsport, son of Russell L. and Thelma E. (Steffen) Hartsock.
Paul had been the owner of Bern-Hart Window Cleaning Service, was an insurance agent with Met Life and later became an independent insurance agent with Hartsock Insurance Agency. He as a member of Faith United Methodist Church, past president of Montoursville Kiwanis and Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania State Kiwanis. Paul truly enjoyed working and raising money for local fire companies calling bingo for many years, including Loyalsock, Turbot Township, Pennsdale, Muncy, and most recently Woodward Township. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, making connections with people, and taking annual trips to Ocean City, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brother, Clayton Hartsock; and daughter, Deborah Hauck.
Surviving is his wife of 34 years, the former Pamela A. Dowling; three daughters, Wendy (Randy) Polk, of Salisbury, MD., Kimberly (Corey) Hunter, of State College, and Melissa (Dr. Joshua) Stutzman, of Hughesville; sister, Shirley Bernardi, of Williamsport; and eight grandchildren, Jacob (Fiance Amanda Flook) Stutzman, Evan, Jillian, and Luke Stutzman, Lydia and Rachel Hunter, and Kayla and Catilyn Polk.
There will be a funeral service on Thursday, June 17, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754 with Rev. Larry L. Leland and Rev. Thomas M. Brokaw officiating.
Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, 10-11:00 a.m.
