Jane Frances Bower, 81, daughter of Edward and Margaret (Nittinger) Bower, went into the loving arms of her parents on Feb. 8, 2019. Jane was the youngest and seventh child of Edward and Margaret who was born on the Bower family farm in Bastress.

Jane attended the School of Hope for many years, which was enjoyed tremendously. She loved doing puzzles, coloring and visiting with all her friends in Williamsport while living at Tillburg’s Personal Care Home. Jane especially enjoyed spending time at the Lycoming County Court House where she had many, many friends. Without Jane at the court house, there is an empty feeling.

Jane is survived by one brother, Bernard (Sonny) Bower, of Jersey Shore.

Jane was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Margaret; her brothers, Edward, Larue, Robert, Carl (Spook) Bower; and by her loving sister, Ramona (Bower) Szybist. Jane is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

May all those who knew and loved Janie and were a part of her extraordinary life, share with her joy in passing into God’s Kingdom.

A day and time for a Mass of Christian Burial will follow in a future addition of the Sun-Gazette.
