Dorothy Rebecca (Becky) Bachman, 89, of Montoursville, died Thursday, June 4, 2026, at The Gatehouse At Divine Providence.

Born August 9,1936, in Williamsport, Becky was a daughter of the late Hervey and Dorothy (Loving) Wendle. She was a graduate of the class of 1954 from Williamsport High School. Becky married her husband, Paul Bachman, on January 11, 1954, and were together for 69 wonderful years until his passing on August 3, 2023.

Becky stayed at home to raise her children but eventually returned to work as a Dental Assistant for Dr. David Raemore. She was also a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Montoursville.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed reading and knitting and spending time with her grandchildren. Becky cherished the time she spent with them playing games on Saturday nights or having them over to swim in her pool. She was an animal lover who had many dogs and cats over the years, but especially found joy in adopting retired greyhounds and giving them a good home with her and her husband, Paul. Becky was also a devoted friend who continued to maintain a close friendship with her two childhood best friends, Muriel Cupp and Saundra Blackburn, and also longtime friend, Sandy Dobson.

She is survived by daughters Lynn (Jerry) Cartwright of Montoursville, and Courtenay (Richard Osgood) Day of Wellsboro; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gail (Paul) Hesen of Jacksonville, FL.

Besides her husband and parents, Becky is also preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Myers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
