Chester (Chet) W. Hall, 56

Chester (Chet) W. Hall, 56 of Williamsport, passed away at Gatehouse on March,13,2019, after a long and courageous battle with COPD. Born December 4,1962, he was the son of the late Chester A. Hall and Bessie Loner (Philips). Chet is survived by his wife Pauline (Newcomer) Hall, sons Lucas Hall and Dante Hall, step daughters Alicia Scott and Jasmine Shearer-Zinch, sister Kathy Taylor (Jeff), nieces Angie Taylor-Keener (Chris) and Jennifer Taylor-Keener (Eric). Also surviving are his Chihuahua, Riley and cat, Midnight. Chet is pre-deceased by his brother Barry Loner.

Chet attended Loyalsock Area High School and was employed at Eastern Wood Products as a lumber-grader/supervisor from the age of 16 until the time his health began to fail. He was a good and loving father, faithful husband and wonderful friend. He will be forever remembered for his kind heart, crazy sense of humor, and as an extremely hard worker. Chet was gifted with the ability to fix just about anything, and was always willing to help others even as his lung disease progressed.

Chet leaves behind many friends who will miss him greatly, and a boatload of memories for all whose lives he touched. Special memories for his sons include Friday family nights at their dad’s “Hound Dog Inn,” fishing bonfires, cookouts, holidays, and the many Christmas inflatables which adorned their yard.

Chet had a faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior, and no doubt is already busy working on some heavenly projects with great gusto.

A memorial service to celebrate Chet’s life will be held at 10:30am on Wed. march 20th,2019 at Faith Wesleyan Church, 1033 Tucker Street, Williamsport, with the Rev. Timothy K. Hartzell officiating.
