Angela C. Criswell, 79

Angela C. Criswell, 79, of Loyalsock Township, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport. Angela was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, C. Dale Criswell, on November 29, 2014.

Born August 4, 1939 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Giovanna (Colapietro) Proietti.

Angela was a graduate of Williamsport High School. She was co-owner and participated in the cable communications company her husband started. She was well-read and was always a great conversationalist for current affairs. She had a love for travel, geography and history as well. Angela had a special place in her heart for family and friends and always made sure everyone was well fed and attended to.

Recent notes from friends say it all…

“She left a bigger impact on me than most people. Not many parents can create such a large family like she did and keep them so close. No one that I’ve ever encountered at least. That’s a legacy in and of itself. She was always positive and brightened any day no matter her own struggles. She will always be family no matter the time apart or distance.”

“Your whole family has always made me feel more than welcome from day one, through some of the roughest days of my own life. Nana was always a big part of that feeling, bringing light to wherever she went. I am blessed to have been in her presence.”

Surviving are a son; Timothy J. (Karole) Criswell, of Williamsport, three daughters; Roxanne Y. Criswell (Kenneth Donlavage), of Montoursville, Monica C. (Bradley) Larson, of Montoursville and Jennifer Y. Pepper (Toby), of Loyalsock, and 15 grandchildren, Anna and Tommy Criswell, Frank and Joey Passero, Blair, Ashley and Tara Larson, Sierra, Tyler, and Bella Barnes, Elainah, Sam, Jack, Paul, and Rocco Pepper.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother; Salvatore Proietti and a sister; Jean “Gina” Rampulla.

A Mass of Christian Burial to honor the life of Angela will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at Church of St. Ann, 1220 Northway Rd, Williamsport.
