On March 10, 2018 Brett George was in a tragic car accident that claimed his life on his way to work on Route 15. Brett was a United States Army Veteran. According to his friends and family, Brett was a wonderful son, father, fiancé (Nicole Counts) and friend.

Family and friends are arranging a benefit Sunday, June 3 at the Valley Inn from noon to 9 p.m., to help pay for funeral costs and a trust fund for his 17-year-old, Eric, who he has left behind. Eric’s plans after graduation in 2019 to follow in his father’s footsteps and join the United States Army to serve his country.

The fundraiser will have entertainment provided by nine area bands and there will be raffles and drawings as well during this event.
