Steven D. “Steve” Bower, 69, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport. Surviving is his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Donna L. (Derone) Bower.

Born April 11, 1955, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Charles E. Bower, Jr. and Virginia M. (Shope) Bower.

Steve was a graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School, class of 1973 and a member of the Newberry Independent Polish Club, The Republican League, and the VFW Post #7863, Duboistown.

Steve’s dedication to craftsmanship was evident through his work as a master craftsman in the family business, Crystal Clear Pools. Steve’s skills extended beyond pool building, as he was also a certified electrician. He had the ability to fix anything. When he was not tinkering, Steve could be found watching his former favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt. Most of all Steve was a great husband, father, and brother.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two children, Lauren Bower and Steven Bower, both of Williamsport and a brother, Charles E. “Chuck” Bower of South Williamsport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth W. Bower.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s name to a charity of donor’s choice.
