Thanksgiving is behind us. Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday are all done, so that means it is officially the Christmas season.
It is time for decorating and picking a tree. Shopping and present wrapping. Well—at least for some. I am a holiday procrastinator of the worst kind, so I most likely won’t start of any of these things for at least 2 more weeks and I won’t finish until at least the 22nd. You would think that I would learn to be more efficient with this stuff by now, but I just can’t seem to get myself together for that!
It always takes me extra time to get into the Christmas spirit. Some people just wake up mid-November more ready for Christmas than Buddy the Elf, where as I have to ease my way into it a little at a time.
  Get a tree.
  Put up some decorations.
Order a gift or two through Amazon.
Finally work up the courage to physically hit the mall.
Maybe listen to a Christmas carol on my way to Target.
A bit at a time I become more and more full of Christmas cheer. By Christmas Eve I am like a 7-year-old waiting for Santa!
Speaking of Christmas cheer—don’t forget to enter our Blaise Alexander Christmas Fun Coloring Contest. The coloring page is on page 19 and entries are due by December 12th. Our Webb Weekly elves are hard at work getting all the entries organized and ready for judging. We were lucky enough to be able to bring back Cocoa Mullingtoes, Pompom Sugarsnaps, and Brownie Sugarwine—the North Pole elves that helped with the contest last year. Jimmy still isn’t thrilled with what a North Pole to Williamsport flight costs, but it is worth it for the extra help! The little cuties don’t need much other that some comfy blankets and hot chocolate, along with the occasional cookie. They will be working hard for the next couple of weeks, so make sure you get your entries in for them!
Also on the line of Christmas cheer, Santa Claus is coming to town! Lou has all the details, but the Downtown Christmas Parade is this Saturday and will end with Santa being downtown at his house across from the movie theater. He’ll be making appearances downtown throughout the Christmas season!
Be sure to get out and about and enjoy the holiday season! Maybe your Christmas cheer will rub off on me!
