Attention boys and girls! It is time once again for Webb Weekly’s annual Halloween contest! I’m sure you know how this works, but just in case you forgot, let me refresh your memory.
Scattered throughout this issue you will find a variety of ghosts. All you need to do is count them…easy peasy. Then do the same thing next week. Take those two numbers, add them together and then send me your total. Remember, I am looking for the total number of ghosts in the October 11th and October 18th editions.
I will then take everyone who answered correctly and pick 10 random winners. Winners will receive a bucket full of goodies big enough to give you several cavities! Seriously, I should be apologizing to local dentists — or maybe asking for a cut!
You can email the answer to firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can drop a post card in the snail mail at Webb Weekly, 280 Kane St., Suite 2, South Williamsport, PA 17702. Or, if you are so inclined, you can drop your entry off at our office, we are open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Entries must be submitted by Oct. 20th around noon or so and only one entry per person. Winners will be listed in the Oct. 25th edition.
Remember the contest is only open to kiddos 12 and under.
Each year we alternate donating a dollar to either the SPCA or LAPS for each entry we receive and this year it is the SPCA’s turn! Be sure to get your entries in and help support a great cause. Plus ya know…candy. So. Much. Candy.
So look carefully and count them up! I get a little sneaky when I place them, so make sure you check every page closely!
So chop-chop lollipop! Get counting and good luck!!
A Halloween contest can only mean that fall is here and Halloween is right around the corner! Have you picked your costume yet?
We’d love to hear about you and/or your kids’ Halloween costumes, so share it with us on Facebook, or better yet, post some pictures!
If I receive enough pictures via Facebook (fb.com/webbweekly) and/or email (email@example.com) maybe you’ll see your little one on an upcoming cover! You can even attach the picture to your email entry (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Speaking of social media…we recently launched a Webb Weekly Live Instagram page! Please go check it out (@webbweeklylive) and be sure to give us a follow! The page will be the go to place for previews of upcoming Webb Weekly Live events!
We are lucky to live in an amazing area that seems to always have something good going on. And while it’s never bad to enjoy those things, we can’t forget about the tragedies happening around us. So as you go through your day, week and month, please take the time to remember the victims and families of those in Las Vegas. Such a heartbreaking event. I can’t imagine what those affected are going through. So whether you pray, meditate, or just send good vibes, please remember those lost and injured. #VegasStrong
I’ve said it before but tragedy breeds an immediate need for blood. Between Harvey, Irma, & Maria, along with wildfires and the Las Vegas attack, there are going to be blood shortages across the nation. If you are able, please visit www.redcross.org/give-blood to find a drive nearby and go donate.
