Spring is Springing…

For some people Easter marks spring, or St. Paddy’s Day but in the last few years I’ve come to mark the beginning of spring with the West Branch Builders Home Show. I know spring isn’t far away when it is time for the Home Show. Webb Weekly has a booth at the show every year and this year is no different. We will be upstairs – so be sure to come by and see us.
As usual we are doing to a giveaway so stop by to register to win an amazing grilling package! We are giving away a grill from Elery Nau Hardware and to make sure you can start using the grill right away, we are also throwing in a $100 gift card to Rupert’s Specialty Meats so you can grab some steaks to grill!
If you haven’t attended the Home Show before, I highly recommend it! The Home Show is a great opportunity to get a handle on all those spring and summer home improvement projects you have lined up. No matter what project you have in mind you can find someone to help at the Home Show. Walt and Marion Nyman along with the rest of the West Branch Builders Association do an awesome job getting the show put together.
The Builders also give away (3) $750 gift certificates so be sure to enter to win those! That could go a long way toward spring projects! Admission is $5, but if you bring a can of food you can save a buck.
Faith and Begorrah…speaking of signs of spring…the St. Paddy’s Day parade is this weekend also! The parade steps off at 2 p.m. and there will be a pub and restaurant tour to go along with it! There will also be a bagpiper traveling around the local bars, see Lou’s story on page XX for where he will be when.
If you are out celebrating the luck of the Irish this weekend please make sure to be safe! Free trolleys will be around from 5 p.m.-2 a.m., but make sure you get home safe!
So while the sun is shining and birds are singing and the days are getting longer, I have one last spring reminder – don’t forget to set your clocks ahead this weekend!

New Website Feature
We are always looking for ways to make our website incorporate features that make it easy to use and navigate. This includes having all our coupons grouped together on one page so they are easy present to businesses from your smartphone. I actually use the feature often when I am out and about since we often have coupons for some of my favorite local restuarants.
It also includes an easy to navigate ‘flipbook’ that puts our entire paper on your computer or phone.
Now that flipbook is even cooler. Does that ad you are looking at have a website listed in it? If so, you can now just ‘click’ the ad and it will take you directly to that advertisers website! Easy peasy! Be sure to check out the new feature at!
