Judith A. Scott, 73, of Williamsport

Judith A. Scott, 73, of Williamsport, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 9, 1941, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Arthur R. and Josephine (Schmaus) Tregembo. She married David Scott and celebrated eight years together.

Judy worked for most of her life as a beautician and owned her own shop. She enjoyed going to the donut shop with the girls and crocheting.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are two children, Dana Lynn Harlan, of Williamsport and Rick Allan Stryker, of Newville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Dudzinski and Darlene (Mike) Ledesma, both of Michigan.

A graveside service to honor Judy’s life will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Montoursville Cemetery with Pastor John Baney, officiating.

Virginia A. Albertson

Virginia A. Albertson, 87, of Dewart, passed away late Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in the emergency room at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born July 10, 1927 in Dewart, she was the daughter of the late Simon Luke and Lillian I. (Gray) Auker. She was married to George W. “Jim” Albertson on February 20, 1948 and they celebrated 61 years of marriage until his death March 5, 2009.

She had been employed at the former Montgomery Mills earlier in life. She also assisted with her husband’s business, Al’s Garage during the 1960’s and later worked at Sterner’s General Store, Dewart.

She enjoyed fishing, working in her yard, walking, blue-grass music and big trucks, but most precious to her were times spent with her family and friends.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law: George W., II and Sandra Albertson of Turbotville; a daughter, Bernadette G. Anderson of Watsontown and her companion Doug Brown, Jersey Shore; two grandchildren: April (Matthew) Bomboy of Watsontown and Christopher (Crystal) Albertson, Castle Hayne, NC; four great-grandchildren: Blake and Nathan Bomboy and Alyssia and Alexis Albertson; and two sisters: Ruth Thomas, Dewart and Vera (Ralph) Young, Watsontown.

Preceding her in death besides her husband were a grandson, William Dale Albertson; a brother, Wilbur Auker and a sister, Dorothy Albertson.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no public viewing, and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience.

Sarah N. (Brown) Corson

Sarah N. (Brown) Corson, 72, of Jersey Shore, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on July 12, 1942 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late James H. and Lucy (Luther) Brown, Sr.

On April 12, 1990, Sarah married Paul Glenn Corson, who survives, and they celebrated 24 years of marriage together this year.

Sarah served her country proudly in the United States Army Reserves.

She worked at AVCO, Williamsport for 28 years as a secretary and then worked in Michigan with the Girl Scouts for six years. She was a former member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Williamsport. She enjoyed cooking and fishing.

In addition to her husband, Sarah is survived by one stepson and daughter-in-law; Vincent P. and Lynn Corson of Exeter, New Hampshire, one stepdaughter and son-in-law; Wanda and John Byrnes of Wilmington, Delaware, one step grandson; Eli Corson, one step granddaughter; Jamie Coates, and two step great grandchildren; Angel and Noa Coates.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; John Lawrence “Shaker” Brown and James H. Brown, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lycoming SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.

A gathering of friends and family will be held 2:00p.m.-3:00p.m., Saturday, January 03, 2015 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 followed by a memorial service at 3:00p.m. with the Reverend Bishop Charles V. Daniels, Sr., officiating.

Claudia E. (Leaphart) McMillan

Claudia E. (Leaphart) McMillan, 78, of Williamsport, died on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

She was married in April 1972 to Robert E. McMillan, who survives.

Claudia was born in Columbia, SC on March 15, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Rebecca K. (Leaphart).

Claudia had worked for Wundies for over 20 years then retired. She was also an entrepreneur that was a landlord. She was affiliated with Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a member of Pop Warner Association. She enjoyed plants, writing poems, dance and music.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 4 sons; Michael A. (Rosemary) Taylor, Darryl F. Taylor, Kevin S. Taylor and companion Nicole Jenney, and Richard E. “Richie” McMillan and fiancée Priscilla Davis, all of Williamsport, five daughters; Diane T. Walker (Michael) of Brooklyn, NY, Valorie Taylor and companion Clyde Faltz, Sr., Kim D. Englert, Michelle L. McMillan and Robin E. McMillan, all of Williamsport, 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one brother; Steven T. Campbell (Maryetta) of New York and two sisters; Margaret Collins of Philadelphia and Deborah R. Campbell of New York. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one son; Charles G. Taylor.

The funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home 10-11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.

Francis W. “Moe” Moore

Francis W. “Moe” Moore, 94 of Williamsport, died December 24, 2014 at the Williamsport Home.

Born January 15, 1920 in Ridgeway, he was a son of Charles and Nealy (Hazlet) Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty C. (Harmon) Moore on August 15, 2006; three brothers, Quinten, Wendell and Charles Moore; and a sister, Dorothy Greninger.
Moe was a graduate of Williamsport High School and had a certificate in carpentry from the Williamsport Area Community College. He retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of Sargent First Class after 21 years serving in World War II and Korea. Later he was employed and retired as a machinist from AVCO Williamsport.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, LeRoy O. Buck Post 7863 V.F.W., and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed golfing at White Deer Golf Course, bowling at ABC Lanes where he was a member of the 700 Club and the local Hall of Fame, and loved animals. Moe was the type of person to always have a project going and loved working on them.
Surviving is a son Robert E. Moore of Williamsport; a brother John Moore of Columbus, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services honoring the life of Moe will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park with military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. Viewing will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. until time of service at Sanders.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Moe’s name to the Lycoming County S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.

Caroline S. Bobb

Caroline S. Bobb, 92, a long-time resident of White Deer, passed away Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, surrounded by her family at Valley View Nursing Home, Montoursville. She had been residing at the Rockwell Center, Milton for the past two years.

Born in White Deer on Nov. 10, 1922, she was a daughter of the late George
F. and Mary A. (Chappell) Smith. She was married to Martin P. Bobb Sr. until his death Feb. 20, 2000.


She had been employed at Milton Wood Products and Moore Business Forms,
Lewisburg. She loved reading and spending time with her family, and enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.
She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton.

Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Dianne L. Perry, of South Williamsport, Carolyn P. and Harry Kling, of White Deer, Susie E. and
William Bierly, of Mifflinburg, and Patsy A. and David Ellington, of St. Albans, W.V.; one son and daughter-in-law, Martin P. and Sue Bobb, of Turbotville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur F. Smith, of White Deer; one sister Mary Jane Smith, of Jamestown, N.Y.; and her life-long friend Lucille
Yocum, of Watsontown.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, was one son, Barry P.
Robb (1996); three brothers, Alfred, Clarence, and Asa; and two sisters,
Alma Stahl and Teletha Steininger.
Friends are invited to call from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Brooks Funeral
Home, 124 Main Street, Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m.
with the Rev. Mark D. Brumbach of South Williamsport United Methodist Church
officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory be made
to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1125 Mahoning Street, Milton, PA

Lavina E. (Stills) Moore

Lavina E. (Stills) Moore, 93, of Williamsport, died on Monday, December 22, 2014 at her residence.

She was the wife of the late Rogers W. Moore who died on February 26, 2002. The couple was married on October 22, 1955 and they were married for 46 years at the time of his death.

Lavina was born on November 3, 1921 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Walker A. and Vivian (Irvin) Stills. She had graduated from Williamsport Area High School. She worked for over 30 years as a housekeeper for William and Sara Pickelner. She was baptized and grew up as a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church then attended Shiloh Baptist Church in her later years. Lavina enjoyed attending all events for her children and was an avid reader.

Lavina is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Roger W. and Robin L. Moore of Chester, PA, one daughter; Cherylene L. Moore of Williamsport, three grandchildren; Andre Moore and wife Jonell, Durell Moore and wife Nicholle and Brittney Moore, six great-grandchildren; Jayden, Mikael, Riley, Evan, Paige and Ethan, one sister and brother-in-law; Lois and Harry Thompson of Moorestown, NJ and three special cousins; Sam Belle, Vivian Belle and Esther Smith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother; Walker A. Stills, Jr. and her step mother; Isadora Stills.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 433 Walnut St., Williamsport with the Reverend Conrad Gibson officiating. There will be a viewing at the church on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

Ty Daniel Kimble, 40, Montoursville

Ty Daniel Kimble, 40, of Montoursville, departed this life on Sunday, December 14th, 2014.
Born March 30th, 1974 in Williamsport, he was the youngest son of Daniel and Mildred (Beck) Kimble of Williamsport.

A 1992 graduate of Williamsport Area High School, Ty found much success over the past several years, as a car salesman for dealerships in Williamsport, Lewisburg, and Lock Haven. He traveled the country attending music festivals and concerts, collecting new bands and new friends everywhere he went. Ty lived his life with arms wide open, regarding strangers as simply friends he hasn’t made yet. Weekends spent talking football and watching the Mets, and celebrating holidays with his family and friends were treasured.

Beloved by all who knew him, in addition to his parents, Ty is survived by a son, Noah; brother Craig and nephew Joel Kimble of Williamsport; brother and sister-in-law Todd and Deanna Kimble and nieces Abby and Greta of South Williamsport; paternal grandmother Roberta Beck, of Williamsport; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service to honor Ty’s life will be held on Saturday, December 20th at 11:00am. at Faith Wesleyan Church, 1033 Tucker Street, Williamsport, with Pastor Timothy K. Hartzell officiating.

Kriemhild K. 'Krim' Brown

Kriemhild K. "Krim" Brown, 74, Watsontown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by her family.
Born July 7, 1940, in Jayernig, in the former Sudetenland (now part of
Czechoslovakia), she was the daughter of the late Wilfried A. and Hildegard
(Dreschsler) Kralik. She was married to Warren A. Brown for 14 years until
his death July 10, 2004.

She had been employed by Sylvania in Montoursville and the West Company in
Montgomery and loved to travel and work in her flower garden.


Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael O. and Lynn Litzelman,
of Allenwood and Steven R. and Darlene Litzelman, of Jersey Shore; a
daughter, Rebecca P. Sommers, of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kurt, and Peter; and three sisters,
Gretel, Ursula, and her twin sister, Bromhild.


Preceding her in death besides her husband were two brothers, Horst and
Hansel, and a sister, Gertrude.
In keeping with her wishes, a private funeral service will be held at Brooks
Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown, with burial in Watsontown Cemetery.

Darlene E. Mosser

Darlene E. Mosser, 71, of Williamsport died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born May 24, 1943 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie Hoover Nittinger.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Chris) Abner of LaGrange, KY, a sister Virginia Cassell of NJ and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Mosser and siblings John Nittinger and Joanne Marchese.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 30, at 2:30 p.m. at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
