Mr. President, Enough is Enough

It’s been great sharing a laugh with so many of you over my story, “Winter Job” from last week. Hunter Ken’s wife called and he did make it home safely, but she made him dispose of his groundhog suit, it was just a little bit too gamey. Laughter truly is the best medicine.
Now back to reality. Can President Obama do anymore to strain our national economy? I’m sure he can, but are you kidding me? I don’t want to scare anyone, but our country is teetering on the edge of financial collapse. We all know about our national debt and the devaluation of the American dollar – whether here at home and what you can purchase for it, or around the world and the value of it. At one time the American greenback was as good as gold. Literally. Now it’s viewed as Monopoly money. Don’t worry we will just print more. The more they print the less it’s worth. Keep that debt clock spinning.
President Obama just doesn’t seem to understand how his programs and ideas effect the American economy. Don’t even get me started on Obamacare, but they had less than a 1/4 of those register for his grand scheme of “National Health Care” than expected. The cost per registrant has to be astonishing. The amount of government time spent on this program is utterly ridiculous. Our country would have been further ahead to provide a card for health care for folks that needed it. Wait a minute; didn’t they fund a program just for that? Commonly known as an Access Card. Oh, that wasn’t as good as Obamacare. That’s not what I’ve heard from those who use it.
The President was also concerned with those health care plans that weren’t quite as good as what he feels the standard should be. You know he’s an expert on what we all need and should have.
You might have missed the mark there, big guy. I just heard from my sister, who lost her insurance. Apparently her plan didn’t meet the standards of what the President feels she should have. What’s that? You mean you can Al a Cart and choose all the coverage you want? I do know that – and at the end you pay more for the same coverage many folks already had. What happened to Mr. Obama’s more healthcare for less idea?
I have asked from the beginning what will this do, not only to our own healthcare cost, but to our economy. Healthcare being the big business that it is, it may have been a good idea to know this beforehand. Well, as Americans begin to pay more at a time when they are already getting nailed at the gas pump, grocery store and everywhere else – only time will tell. Not to mention the adjustments businesses will make with their workforce numbers and full time employees.
This issue isn’t even in the rearview mirror and now it’s the minimum wage. The President wants to jack it up about 40%, beginning with an executive order for the federal contractors. Again, he wants to do right by the American people. Never mind starting an entry-level position and working your way up. Mr. President doesn’t feel some can do this; they may be forced to work a lower level job for a long period of time. Maybe they are not capable of doing more. Are you kidding me? What a bunch of bull. So pay them more than a job is worth, take away incentive for working harder and becoming educated as a way to move up the pay scale. Create fewer jobs due to the fact that the American employer is going to cut positions and hours to make up for the increased cost of minimum wage or just pass the increase on to the American consumer.
Yeah, Mr. President you really got it figured out. I tip my hat to you. I’m surprised you didn’t say the minimum wage could be made up with those great savings on health insurance.
I don’t have enough paper to list all of Mr. Obama’s great ideas on helping our American economy. When was the last time you heard his concerns about what you and I are paying at the aforementioned gas pump and grocery store? Not to mention to heat our homes.
Every move this man makes is to the detriment of the national economy. That national debt counter spins at the fastest rate ever. No other president was even close. We all pay more for less. He continues his assault on the American way of life – at least on those not inside the Washington Beltway.
That’s ok though, at least he’s bolstered up our military and continued to lead us as our Commander in Chief in a way that leaves us respected around the world. Not even close. Can you imagine what other world leaders say behind closed doors? Whether it was “Speak softly and carry a big stick,” as Theodore Roosevelt said or Ronald Regan’s approach of, speak firmly and take no bull from anyone. You must let the world know that we are the greatest nation on Earth, and will defend and protect America at home and abroad.
Our own military leaders don’t understand his policy. He is feared by no one, other than the American taxpayer.
What is President Barak Obama’s agenda? I don’t even want to hazard a guess. His approval ratings at times have been the lowest recorded of a second term president. He alone is not the only problem. A mess this big needs a lot of help. Both the Republican and Democratic parties need to shoulder some blame. Until they have term limits, self-interest will continue to be Washington politics as normal. At least Mr. Obama has a term limit.
Speaker of the House John Boehner (R) and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D) need to go – along with about 95% of their peers. The American voter must demand term limits. Serving your constituents in Washington was not intended to be a lifetime career.
  God Bless America.
